Job summary

Outline of the Position:

  • The “ORGA / MOA Hong-Kong Manager” leads strategic business projects and / or local Bank projects (from the head office and the entities) (hereinafter “the Project(s)”) according to the specifications, the objectives, planning and resources approved by the sponsor(s)
  • Coordinate both internal and external stakeholders in order to reach the milestones of the Project while respecting the allocated budget
  • Raise alerts and submits corrective action proposals when necessary according to the escalation process defined by Project governance
  • Assume the role of ‘Federal’ Project Manager and exercises coordination cutting across domains and entities within a Strategic Business Project
  • Represent the Bank, acts as a local Project Manager and assumes the responsibility of Project Manager Local for a project that concerns only the branch in Hong Kong. within a Strategic Business Project
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper conduct of the ORGA / MOA line locally within the framework set by the Headquarters ORGA / MOA Department.

Key Responsibilities

As Project Manager

  • Maintain a close relationship within the Bank with the heads of Business Lines / Support Functions and their delegates in order to acquire a solid knowledge of the functions and expertise of their activities. Act as the liaison to head office in Geneva
  • Provide technical and functional support to the management by being a Project referent
  • Contribute to the adaptation and automation of processes and tools in order to gain operational efficiency and time
  • Ensure general coordination of cross-functional projects supported by several Business Lines / Support Functions
  • Apply the project methodology
  • Write the project specifications or contributes to its drafting (when acting as a local representative of a Federal project)
  • Define and implement KPI and alert indicators for each Project
  • Plan and monitor the human, financial and logistical resources allocated to the project
  • Ensure that the projects comply with the regulations in force locally
  • Participate in change management activities resulting from IT evolutions
  • Liaise with Support Functions (Compliance, Client Data, Human Resources, Legal & Governance, Finance, etc.) during the implementation of Projects
  • Establish the diagnosis of organizations and teams and issue evolution proposals in line with their managers and his managers (ORGA / MOA Headquarters and local COO)
  • Support process optimization and managerial performance projects

As ORGA / MOA Manager

  • Ensure standard processes defined by the ORGA / MOA business line are correctly applied
  • Establish on a regular basis reports to the ORGA / MOA line by following standard processes
  • Responsible for the proper allocation of local resources for local projects
  • Responsible for management of the local ORGA / MOA

Control Responsibilities

  • Ensure all the permanent controls of his activity area are correctly run
  • Identify & manage all compliance risks of his perimeter

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree holder in Business, Finance or related disciplines

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


7+ years’ experience in project management in Financial industry

Required skills

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work in a small team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)


Proficiency in English. Cantonese/Mandarin/French would be an advantage
