Asia Operations provide operational capabilities to Azqore’s client banks, allow them to focus on executing their strategy, reduce operational cost and improve operational risk. Within Asia Operations, the Securities team is responsible for processing and managing the risk relating to securities & derivatives settlements, securities transfers, corporate action (income, cash asset creation and maintenance).
The incumbent will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:
The processing and controls of the processes within the Securities function.
Ensuring efficiency and productivity in delivery quality services to Azqore’s clients.
Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.
Job Responsibilities
Daily BAU
· Successful applicant will be part of a newly created Corporate Actions team and responsible for the transfer of this process from Switzerland to Singapore.
· Understanding of the core system and the front-to-back workflow, including the impact of the corporate actions processing on asset valuation and taxes, is essential.
· Proactively manages and resolves discrepancies, relating to the functions he/she is responsible for, with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and abroad.
Others
· Participates to Azqore Asia Operations projects
· Proactive drives and implements process enhancement and improvements
· Ensures training of new colleagues, where required
· Potential to be cross-trained to other functions within securities team based on individual learning abilities
At least 6 years of relevant experiences in Securities Operations, specifically in corporate actions. Knowledge in the Private Banking industry is preferred, with experience working with head office/international teams. Project management skills is preferred.
Familiar with financial products as well as the market infrastructures, regulations & related operational risks. Knowledge of SWIFT messages especially those relating to Corporate Actions.
Good knowledge and experience in Office suite. Knowledge and experience in S2i is a plus.
