You will be reporting locally to the Head of Credit Structuring Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Align with the Credit Risk Department (RPC) in the region to structure, vet and monitor viable credit solutions as offering to clients, with a focus on real estate financing; including the participation in credit committees at various levels.
- Credit solutions advisory - provide advisory services to Relationship Managers on feasibility of complex credit solutions, with a focus on real estate financing and the Singapore real estate market.
- Credit solutions execution - prepare, structure and obtain internal approvals on products and solutions that involve utilization of credit. Coordinate with different departments of the bank (Risk, Legal, Operations, Global Wealth Structuring) to ensure that legal, regulatory, operational, tax and structural issues related to transactions are properly addressed and where relevant presented to Product Approval Committee.
- Credit product enhancement - work together with Private Banking Management and Markets & Investment Solutions (MIS) team in Asia, Geneva and Paris; identify required adjustments to existing risk methodologies and approved credit products; prepare and present proposals for enhancement.
- Credit process improvement - work together with various internal and external stakeholders (when required) to develop and/or improve credit processes.
- Credit reporting & papers/presentations - develop and enhance credit reports to support management, the frontline, and various projects and meetings.
- Credit administration – prepare real estate memos, ensure fire insurance coverage on properties, liaise with external valuers and lawyers, assist in the development and execution of Facility Letters and other credit documentation.
- Credit monitoring – When required monitor credit transactions with non-standard credit approval terms.
- Sales and marketing – provide credit solutions training; assist the Head of Credit Structuring for commercial lending targets, meet clients (with Relationship Manager) and prepare documentations.
- Work in close collaboration with other MIS specialists in Asia, Geneva and Paris for specific cases when needed.
- Lombard and Insurance Financing – assist Lombard and Insurance Financing deals and related items when required.
Degree in Banking and Finance or related discipline
Preferably 10-15 years’ experience in the Finance/Wealth Management sector with experience in both internal RMs and external clients.
