Job summary

Reporting to the Head of Credit Structuring Asia, you will be working on structuring, vetting and monitoring viable credit solutions as offering to clients, with a focus on Lombard; including the participation in credit committees at various levels.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit solutions advisory - provide advisory services to Relationship Managers on feasibility of complex credit solutions.
  • Credit solutions execution - prepare, structure and obtain internal approvals on products and solutions that involve utilization of credit.
  • Coordinate with different departments of the bank (Risk, Legal, Operations, Global Wealth Structuring) to ensure that legal, regulatory, operational, tax and structural issues related to transactions are properly addressed and where relevant presented to Product Approval Committee.
  • Credit product enhancement - work together with Private Banking Management and Markets & Investment Solutions (MIS) team in Asia, Geneva and Paris assisting the Head of Credit Structuring Asia; identify required adjustments to existing risk methodologies and approved credit products; prepare and assist with the proposals for enhancement.
  • Credit process improvement -  work together with various internal and external stakeholders (when required) to develop and/or improve credit processes.
  • Credit reporting & papers/presentations – assist with the development and enhancements of credit reports to support management, the frontline, and various projects and meetings.
  • Credit administration – prepare credit and insurance memos, assist the Real Estate specialist with Mortgage documentation, and assist in the development and execution of Facility Letters and other credit documentation for Lombard and Insurance Financing.
  • Credit monitoring – When required monitor credit transactions with non-standard credit approval terms.
  • Sales and marketing – provide credit solutions training; assist the Head of Credit Structuring for commercial lending targets, meet clients (with Relationship Manager) and prepare documentations.
  • Work in close collaboration with other MIS specialists in Asia, Geneva and Paris for specific cases when needed.
  • Life Insurance – assist with the relationship and due diligence with our partners (Life Insurance companies & brokers) with regards to Life Insurance Financing (IPF) and Insurance products (as collateral) where required.

 

Supplementary Information

Key Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in relevant Banking and Finance or related discipline
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience with Private Banking lending products such as Lombard Lending, Insurance Premium Financing with some knowledge in Real Estate Financing.
  • Experience in life insurance premium financing and dealing with non-standard Private Bank Credit transactions would be strongly preferred.
  • Preferably 10 years’ experience in the Finance/Wealth Management sector with experience in both internal RMs and external clients.
  • Good knowledge in compliance and regulations regarding credit/financing in Singapore in the wealth management sector.
  • Strong understanding of the concept and industry practice of credit risk management.
  • A good team player equipped with excellent presentation & communication skills, ideally with computing skills.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English with Mandarin as an advantage
