In the context of current dynamic technology and functional banking changes, Azqore has an ambitious product roadmap in the Payments and Operations domains.

At the heart of this roadmap, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to coordinate and lead the development teams in Java / Web development projects, adeptly handling both backend and frontend challenges. The candidate will be the voice of the Post-Trade & Operations team in the Swiss headquarters to develop client’s Payments and Operations projects.

The position is located in Lausanne (Vennes).

What about the team:

You will work for the Post Trade & Operations team led by Anders.

Including:

• Operations Securities Post Trade team (8 people in Switzerland and 4 people in Singapore);
• Payments team (10 people in Switzerland and 1 person in Singapore);
• Money Market Post Trade team (8 people in Switzerland).

 You will work closely with the global team, with the infrastructure architects and the Digital architect.

Some interesting projects:

• SEPA instant payment project;
• PMS project.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the remote development team;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications;
• Participate to the development of the solution(s);
• Architect, design and implement scalable and maintainable web applications;
• Lead the development of robust backend solutions, including API design and implementation;
• Collaborate to the definition of the application deployment processes with related Azqore teams (integration and infrastructure) ensuring reliability and efficiency;
• Enforce security best practices throughout the development cycle;
• Understand client needs and business objectives to translate them into technical best-in-class technical product.

• Degree from a technical institute, university or college and have at least 5-10 years’ experience in design and development in a full stack environment

• Experience with development tool chain (Maven, Git, VSCode, Sonar, VeraCode);
• Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins, Docker, Openshift/Kubernetes);
• Cloud Services: Experience in deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging their services for scalability, reliability, and performance. ( good to have);
• Passionate about technology and software engineering.

• Java Development: Showcasing robust skill set with API Design and implementation. Exposure to various framework like Spring, JPA and Hibernate
• Back-end Development: Expertise in server-side development, including working with databases (SQL, NoSQL), RESTful APIs, micro-services architecture, and server technologies like Node.js, Express, or similar.
• Software architecture and design Patterns: Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns to create scalable, maintainable, and secure applications
• Application Deployment - CI/CD: Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices for continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD), including version control (Git), build automation (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience in writing unit tests, integration tests, and implementing QA processes to ensure the reliability and quality of the software.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of developers located in Switzerland/Singapore/India, coordinate tasks, and drive project deliverables.
• Cobol Development: Ability to understand legacy COBOL code or willing to learn.
• Banking Knowledge: general knowledge of banking processes, if possible in the Payments, Operations or Money Market areas.
• Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions.
