Outline of the Position:
Handle KYC review of the new private banking clients and other issues related to client onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all matters fallen under client onboarding matters (including KYC/ Client Due Diligence (‘CDD’)/ Client Risk Assessment (‘CRA’) reviews) of CAIS-HK
- Perform account opening KYC/ CDD/ CRA review with respect to the regulatory and internal requirements
- Provide support to Head of Client Middle Office in handling requests received from Compliance, Internal Audit, Group Audit and Regulators
- Provide constructive advice to Front Office on enquiries and issues arising from client onboarding
- Review and validate client’s source of wealth, corroboration of wealth, name screening results, client risk assessment to ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory and internal requirements
- Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met.
- Develop, maintain, review and enhance the bank’s process, policies and procedures as well as its internal controls to ensure the bank’s client onboarding activities are in compliance with the latest regulatory and internal requirements
- Monitor and report performance and status of client onboarding to Head of Client Middle Office
- Manage and handle ad-hoc team projects
- Provide backup/ support to Client Data team

Candidate criteria
Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
Bacheor degree in business related disciplines
Level of minimal experience

Experience
At least 5 years relevant experience in KYC/CDD, preferably in private banking
Required skills
· Strong spoken and written communication skills;
· Independent, self-motivated and ability to adapt in a team environment
· Excellent time management and organization skills.
Technical skills required
Ability to identify AML risks and demonstrate a solid grasp of AML/KYC policy
Languages
Proficiency in English and Chinese
