Job summary

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for DPM business and activities in Asia and work closely with a team of portfolio managers in Singapore.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day portfolio management of Indosuez discretionary mandates. Design, construct and Implement the asset allocation derived from the global and local investment committees for all discretionary management portfolios. Define investment strategy and portfolio allocation for bespoke mandates and customized solutions. Develop, monitor and daily management of multi-asset strategies with as DPM Portfolio manager with specialization (equity, fixed income or risk management etc). Daily investment management of the portfolios in accordance with DPM governance & investment guidelines and respect client’s constraints & risk profile. Regular reviews and reporting of the portfolios. Daily Market risk monitoring.
  • Proactively contribute in Global investment committee and fully articulate the DPM investment strategy & IWM Houseview with internal & external stakeholders. Monitor and manage Target Allocation portfolios & bespoke mandates with a sound investment management & risk management process and fully respect investment guidelines. Develop monitoring tools for internal portfolio management use by the team. Ensure seamless actions and minimize operational risks for all Asia booked/serviced accounts (SG & HK).
  • Lead Local Investment Committee for the purpose of investment strategy & asset allocation of DPM mandates managed in Asia. Exploring DPM solutions with local edge and leverage on the local expertise for Asia demand.
  • Responsible for developing and promoting Indosuez discretionary portfolio solutions in Asia. Lead DPM marketing Campaign with frequent marketing updates for Target Allocation and Bespoke mandate solutions. Design and Expand DPM offerings, produce & enhance marketing contents, materials, investment proposals, presentations, portfolio reviews etc. with detail focus and high quality standards. Consistently amplify DPM visibility in Asia, Proactively and actively marketing DPM solutions, promoting DPM investment strategy to all stakeholders. Increase DPM penetration via proactive engagement approach through various channels.
  • Articulate Indosuez Houseview and proactively update the portfolio investment strategies regularly to the Investment advisors, Relationship Managers and Clients. Support internal & external stakeholders with their customer marketing efforts, training, presentations and investment reviews. Engage proactively with RMs, IAs and clients, and provide customized services to clients.
  • Where external funds & ETFs or alternative assets are utilized within DPM investment strategy, be able to perform due diligence on the funds that may serve the purpose of the DPM strategy.
  • Collaboration with Global & Local Investment Management business lines in various business development & projects

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management Asia, he/she is responsible for dictionary portfolio management & multi-assets investment management activities and DPM business development in Asia.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree from leading Business Schools or Universities, preferably Master degree.

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

  • Broad and deep knowledge of the main assets classes, financial markets globally, and investment instrument. Macro strategy with Multi-assets focus and ability to translate key themes into investment selection and allocation decisions.
  • 10-15 years of hands on experience in discretionary portfolio management capacity (portfolio manager exposed to multi-assets mandates) and at least 8 years of relevant experience in managing customized discretionary portfolios. Exposure in the UHNW segment for bespoke/tailor-made solutions will be essential.

Required skills

  • Affinity to Equity or Fixed income focused asset classes with direct-line investment expertise will be a strong advantage.
  • Experienced user of financial markets analytical tools (Bloomberg, Factset) and highly proficient in MS office tools.
  • Demonstrated strong research, investigative, logical approach and quantitative & analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work in a small team with high team player spirit.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, hands on and independent with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal/written marketing skills and interpersonal communication skills; strong effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal); production of relevant marketing content with high standard.
  • Proficiency in English is required, Mandarin ( both written and verbal) would be an strong advantage as the majority of DPM business demand are from North Asia markets and Chinese speaking clients (China, HK and Taiwan).
