We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented operations specialist to join our dynamic Middle Office team. In this role, you will be at the heart of daily operational activities and be involved with driving process improvements in a fast-paced financial environment.
You will partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and drive automation initiatives and optimizing workflows for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Support Operations: Deliver timely and accurate covering for operational monitoring all while working closely with external partners, such as correspondent banks, custodians, back office, other group entities.
- Collaborate across teams: Liaise with various departments (traders, MIS, Finance department and front office staff) for operational requests and issues handling.
- Enhance Efficiency: Lead and support common sense operational initiatives, develop and deploy automated tools to improve workflows, using VBA, SQL and PYTHON to improve data management and workflow efficiency.
- Document and communicate all process enhancements and technical solutions to facilitate team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the change management arising from major IT, operational developments or local regulatory requirements.
- Manage reporting: Prepare and review reports covering both areas, regulatory reporting and operational monitoring.
- Investigate and improve: Conduct operational incident monitoring (root cause analysis, action plans) and follow-up on operational incidents.
- Test and Validate: Participate in system testing and implementation of new tools and/or process changes.
A degree in Business, Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Treasury, Settlement or Middle Office operations within the banking industry
