Job summary

  •  Take charge of the real estate service for clients of Indosuez Wealth Management in Singapore and Hong Kong
  • Liaise with Wealth Managers and Credit Risk Department (RPC) in the region for non-standard credit request to determine its viability
  • Meet client together with Wealth Managers to explain terms and bring across financing offering to client

 

Primary responsibilities : Real Estate Financing

 

  • Establish the role as the local centre of expertise for real estate and the single point of entry for all real estate financing demands
  • Perform property valuations and liaise with external real estate experts to obtain independent valuations
  • Prepare real estate memos providing opinion on the property and recommendation to the bank deciding bodies
  • Monitor the statistics and performance of the real estate credit offering and report into Head of Structuring and Financing, who ultimately reports to the Head  of Markets, Investment and Structuring
  • Be abreast of property transactions happening in the property market
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the Singapore and Hong Kong property markets and changes revolving around them.
  • Undertake marketing effort to promote the real estate and credit financing to Wealth Managers and clients

Secondary responsibilities : Credit Financing

  • Review and analyse all credit related information provided by the Wealth Manager and/or the client
  • Assess the feasibility of the credit based on approved policies and guidelines
  • Provide support and advice on the structuring of the credit transactions with credit analysis and rationale
  • Propose financing terms and conditions in line with the bank’s policy
  • Establish a strong collaboration with various support teams such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Global Wealth Structuring, etc.
  • Liaise with external counter-parties such as insurers and brokers to ensure a smooth delivery in the Credit process.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Business or Banking Degree

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

- At least 15 years in Real Estate financing role (in particular, residential property) and 5 years in Private Bank Credit financing / risk management
- Good insight to Singapore and Hong Kong property markets
- Vast handling in housing loan and equity mortgage loan
- Well versed in MAS Property Directives and HKMA Property Prudential Measures
- Engaged in Private Bank Lombard business
- Good knowledge of basic Credit principles
- Understand concept in credit risk management

Required skills

- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Commercial acumen while strictly respecting internal rules and local regulations
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to converse in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus.
