Missions
The Project Management Officer (PMO) is helping Delivery Managers by facilitating the access to information and the interaction between internal or external management. The PMO will work with them to tackle project portfolios and management control topics in order to improve the KPIs as well as the client relationship quality.
The PMO might be asked to work on projects. He/she supports the preparation of project plans and assists the Project Director/Chief Executive in steering the project. He/she coordinates and monitors the progress of key project milestones and deliverables with the project stakeholders. He/she compiles and reports on them to the project manager / program director. He/she also plays a key role in terms of communication with project stakeholders.
In terms of organization, the PMO develops a common set of practices, principles, and templates for project management and ensures that they are followed by conducting regular controls. He/she will work on department’s process optimization.
- Project Portfolio management
o Manage the team project portfolio
o Support teams on project management methodology
o Tracks project status based on updates from project stakeholders
o Track project risks and mitigation measure
o Monitor and manage the budget envelope of the portfolio of projects
o Control budgets and raise alerts,
o Guarantee the profitability of the project(s), return on investment, productivity
- Communication:
o Work closely with project teams as well as management
o Gather project data and produce reporting for management review
