Job summary

Asia Operations provide operational capabilities to Azqore’s client banks, allow them to focus on executing their strategy, reduce operational cost and improve operational risk. Commitment to quality and continuous process improvement, is at the heart of all Asia Operations activities.

It is thus one of the key to facilitate and drive Azqore to reach its ambitious growth target, by putting the clients at the center of its activity, being attentive to their needs, bringing them value and increasing their satisfaction.

 

Within Asia Operations, the Reconciliations & Investigations (R&I) team is responsible for the reconciliations of stock (depot) positions, cash (nostro) transactions and balances as well as FX/MM confirmations. In addition, the team is also in charge of cash investigations, triggered by queries due to cash remittances. 

The incumbent will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:

• The processing and controls of the processes within the Reconciliations & Investigations function.

• Ensuring that the services delivered to the Azqore clients are performed under the best conditions of efficiency and productivity.

• Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.

 

Responsibilities

Daily BAU:

• Responsible for the reconciliation and/or investigations of Foreign Exchange settlement (Spot, Forward, NDF, structured and options), Treasury settlement (Money Market and REPO) and Cash Investigations.

• Works closely with colleagues locally and abroad to ensure smooth daily operation and speedy issue resolutions.

 

Others:

• Participates to Azqore Asia Operations projects

• Proactive drives and implements process enhancement and improvements

• Ensures training of new colleagues, where required

• Provide cross functional support coverage, where required

• Provide support to Head of Department and Deputy where required on team management topics

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Bachelor degree, and / or professional qualification in Banking / Finance

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of banking operations settlement. Experience in Private Banking is a plus.

• Familiar with financial products (Foreign Exchange including Options and Structured products and Treasury products) as well as the market infrastructures, regulations and operational risks related to the trade processing and settlement of these products.

• Knowledgeable about SWIFT messages types.
