Job summary

This position will provide Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) advice and support to the Private Banking business in Singapore and the international clientele of the Singapore Branch under the supervision of the Head of Compliance.

Responsibilities:

 
Trainee to be involved in:

1. Providing regulatory and AML support to management, business and its support units

2. Conduct and assist in the monitoring, review and investigations of transactions, customer complaints and other Compliance/AML matters

3. Perform periodic Know Your Customer reviews on existing clients

4. Perform adverse news screening on prospects and existing clients.

5. Participate in Compliance/AML projects such as system implementation test and reviews

6. Assist in documentation review and maintenance of client static data

3. Gain experience with internal Compliance database management and record keeping

4. Gain analytical and technical skills for AML and account reviews

5. Gain foundational knowledge of AML requirements compliance requirements, and risk implications

6. Gain foundational knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements

Experience

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
a. Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or

b. Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020.

Required skills

Relevant prior working experience in banking compliance is an advantage
