Asia Operations provide operational capabilities to Azqore’s client banks, allowing them to focus on executing their strategy, reduce operational cost and improve operational risk.   Commitment to quality and continuous process improvement, is at the heart of all Asia Operations activities. Within Asia Operations, the Reconciliations & Investigations (R&I) team is responsible for the reconciliations of stock (depot) positions and cash (nostro) transactions.  In addition, the team is also in charge of cash investigations, triggered by queries due to cash remittances. 

The incumbent will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:

The processing and controls of the processes within the Reconciliations & Investigations function.
Ensuring that the services delivered to the Azqore clients are performed under the best conditions of efficiency and productivity.
Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.

 

Responsibilities

Daily BAU

·         Preform stock and cash/nostro reconciliation.

·         Production of daily operational deliverable in line with Clients’ service level agreements

·         Take ownership of daily cash and stock positions breaks by conducting investigation on differences.

·         Works closely with Clients, Custodians/nostro banks and internal stakeholders locally and abroad to ensure smooth daily operation and speedy issues resolutions of any reconciliation discrepancy.

·         Provide cross functional support coverage for Cash Investigation, where required including

releasing of Swift messages.

 

Others

·         Act as Subject Matter Expert and contribute to Department and Company initiatives/projects.

·         Proactive drives change and implement process enhancement and improvements.

·         Ensures training of new colleagues, where required.

·         Provide support to Head of Department and Deputy where required on team topics.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Bachelor degree, and / or professional qualification in Banking / Finance

 

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

- At least 3 years of experience in reconciliations or general banking operations. Experience in Private Banking Operations is a plus.

- Familiar with banking products (e.g Cash products, Treasury products and Equity) as well as the market infrastructures, regulations and operational risks related to the trade processing and settlement of these products.

- Knowledgeable about SWIFT messages types.
