Outline of the Position:
- Support frontline team of Relationship Managers by providing advice to clients, interact with RMs and clients alike in order to review portfolios, execute clients’ orders, prepare and implement portfolio proposals
- Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements and conduct the business in a professional manner
- Meet the requirements in order to become and remain licensed for Type 1 and 4 regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (“SFO”). Geographic coverage: North Asia
- Reach personal and team targets: financial (revenue), NNA, CAIS and MIS products and solutions penetration
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Advisor - Support acquisition of AUM/Increase revenues at IWM HK
- Get familiar with IWM investment methodology for security selection/asset allocation
- Educate Relationship Managers (“RM”) and IWM colleagues on the full sets of MIS products. Conduct ad-hoc internal trainings.
- Provide RMs and Clients with MIS capabilities presentations and performance updates
- Perform portfolio reviews with RMs and clients
- Prepare portfolio proposals for existing and prospective clients
- Pro-actively interact with clients, providing them with advice and trade ideas and execute transactions
- Target maximum client retention and acquisition of assets via constant communication with clients/RMs
- Monitor large client’s positions/portfolios and advise adjustments if needed
- Monitor product penetration per asset class and formulate strategies and ideas to increase total penetration of MIS products & solutions
- Actively brainstorm with various stakeholders to develop new products/strategies for clients
- Products under his care: the entire spectrum of investment products within MIS
- Respond to clients’ reverse enquiries and keep a proper audit trail of recommendations made and investment rationale
- Achieve clients’ specified financial goals for tagged accounts
- Manage clients’ expectation and to lead them to implement strategies that fit into their own financial goals
Research/Advisory
- Be an expert and follow closely on market developments globally (all products)
- Produce high quality regular market updates and trade ideas to RM’s and clients, with help from IA, specialist team and the Head of Advisory Solutions
