Job summary

We are seeking a senior Head of Client Data, Asia to lead the regional Client Data function across Singapore and Hong Kong.

 
This role will shape and execute the regional strategy for client data, account documentation, onboarding governance, and data quality, while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a seamless client experience across Asia.


The successful candidate will be an experienced private banking / wealth management leader with strong expertise in client onboarding, client documentation, data governance, transformation initiatives, and team leadership. You will work closely with Front Office, Compliance, Legal, Operations, IT, Risk, and Group stakeholders to strengthen the operating model and support the bank’s strategic growth in Asia.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the below tasks, but not limited to: -

  •  Lead and manage the Client Data function across Singapore and Hong Kong
  • Define and implement the regional Client Data strategy aligned with the COO transformation roadmap
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, succession planning, and performance management
  • Oversee all aspects of client onboarding, account documentation, client static data maintenance, and lifecycle management
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations, Group policies, and internal standards
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, digitalization, and process optimization
  • Lead regional and cross-functional projects related to onboarding, data quality, regulatory change, and platform transformation
  • Establish KPIs, service levels, and management dashboards to monitor productivity, quality, and operational performance
  • Strengthen data quality governance through controls, reconciliations, and remediation plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the region and Head Office to deliver strategic and regulatory initiatives
  • Represent the Client Data function in governance, steering, and senior management forums
  • Manage departmental resources, budgets, and organizational development to support business growth

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

10–12 years’ experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management, with significant leadership exposure in Client Data, Client Onboarding, or Client Documentation

Required skills

  • Proven experience leading regional or multi-country teams
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities
  • Track record of delivering transformation initiatives
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements for client onboarding and documentation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
