You will play a key role in the design and functional / technical architecture of solutions, acting as the bridge between business needs and IT implementation in a hybrid environment combining Mainframe / Cobol and Java applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering, challenging, and formalising business requirements with a strong focus on solution design
- Defining functional and technical specifications, with an emphasis on architecture impacts and end-to-end consistency
- Contributing to the definition of target solutions, application flows, interfaces, and data impacts
- Assessing the impact of new requirements on the existing application landscape, particularly Cobol and Java components
- Working closely with development teams in Portugal and other stakeholders to ensure robust and scalable designs
- Supporting testing phases, including integration testing and UAT, and helping resolve defects from a design perspective
- Contributing to continuous improvement, simplification, and optimisation of business and application processes
You will join the Finance / Taxes team, composed of around 20 employees in Switzerland, and work closely with teams based in Singapore and Portugal.
The role is based in Geneva and/or Lausanne.
This team operates in an international, demanding, and collaborative environment where solution quality, architectural consistency, and delivery reliability are essential. You will work on strategic topics at the intersection of business, technology, and application design.
Higher education degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Additional training or exposure in solution architecture, application design, business analysis, or project management would be a strong asset.
Knowledge in a Cobol / Java environment
Strong interest or experience in solution design and functional / technical architecture
